“Friendly staff, mixed feelings on the food.”
The service here is excellent—staff are attentive and welcoming. The restaurant itself is clean and typically quite busy. I enjoyed the pho broth, but the chicken was dry and underwhelming, even on the platter. On the other hand, the spring rolls were outstanding—crispy on the outside and flavorful inside.Bonus: there’s a small, free parking lot next to the restaurant, which is a big plus.

“Consistently excellent.”
Pho Hong never misses. The food arrived quickly and tasted incredible. The spring rolls came out hot and crisp, and the mango salad hit the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. This continues to be my favorite pho place in town—its atmosphere and signature soup flavors really stand out. A reliable, top-tier experience every time.

Recommended Dishes: Spring Rolls, Tom Yum Soup
“Tasty food, friendly atmosphere, but small portions.”
We dropped in for a Saturday lunch and found a clean, bustling spot that appears to be family-run—young siblings were managing the floor and checkout impressively. The spring rolls were excellent—crispy and well-filled. The tom yum soup was decent but lacked the citrusy spice I usually expect. For the main, I had grilled chicken with rice vermicelli and vegetables. The chicken was flavorful, but the bowl felt small despite paying extra for more meat. There were also too many carrots for my taste.
One issue worth noting: there’s a 3.25% credit card fee posted only near the register—not on the receipt or tray.
Summary
Pho Hong is widely appreciated for its friendly service, clean dining space, and flavorful Vietnamese cuisine. The spring rolls are a standout favorite, and many patrons praise the pho for its depth of flavor and comforting broth. While a few diners mention inconsistencies—such as dry chicken or mild spice levels—overall, the restaurant remains a local favorite in Burlington’s Vietnamese food scene.
