The restaurant is rich in history, operating inside a building that started as a 1924 shotgun house. Over the past century, the space has worn many hats, serving as a jewelry store, florist, hardware shop, furniture storefront, and a paint dealer before becoming a restaurant.

While a large, modern main dining room has been added to the back, the structure keeps its historic architectural layout. Guests enter through the traditional shotgun-style front, which features a long bar running down the left side, cozy seating on the right, and an intimate stage up front for live music. The interior offers a warm, rustic, and trendy vibe decorated with local Gulf Coast art and memorabilia.
